SharePoint Services is a free component that allows you to build a corporate intranet web site for document management, task management, collaboration and business process automation.

Completely built on top of ASP.NET and Workflow Foundation,
it allows great level of customization and extensions with custom
web parts, object model and workflows.

SharePoint Server 2007
SharePoint Server 2007 extends SharePoint services with advanced document management, web content management, enterprise search and portals functionality, records management and business applications integration with Business Data Catalog.

SharePoint Server integrates the functionality of Content Management Server within its new web content management role.

SharePoint Server includes Excel Services as a web-based front end for Business intelligence applications, and Forms Services for interactive web-based electronic forms.

Project Server & Portfolio Server
Project Server complements the usage of Project Professional with centralized storage of all corporate projects and related tasks, issues, risks and a central resource pool, organized according to the organization structure. Portfolio Server enables tracking the whole portfolio of projects & programs, to better align with corporate goals.

Workflow Foundation
Workflow foundation is the new free Microsoft workflow development platform. The new versions of SharePoint, CRM and BizTalk are built on top of workflow foundation. Microsoft CRM
Microsoft CRM provides a sophisticated implementation of a sales, marketing and customer service processes, available via an internet browser or integrated within Outlook.

capabilities, to implement self-service portals or to integrate CRM

Performance Point Server
Performance Point server covers the three pillars of a performance management solution: the planning, the analysis and the monitoring. Included is functionality for financial management, budget planning, forecasting, advanced company consolidation and shares models, key performance indicators, dashboards and scorecards.

Performance Point includes licenses for the recently
acquired Proclarity Analytics server, which enables advanced
charting and BI visualization tools such as decomposition trees.

BizTalk
BizTalk is the Microsoft’s application integration platform, supporting the enterprise application integration and business to business scenarios with enterprise single-sign-on functionality.

With over 40+ different adapters to any system and the ability to write a custom one, BizTalk is virtually able to connect and integrate with any business application.

InfoPath and Forms Server
Build on top of XML technology stack, InfoPath enables quick and easy creation of interactive electronic forms with rich data validation, filtering, integration with web services and databases. Examples of forms include expense reporting forms, purchase requests, timesheets or vacation requests.

Forms Server extends the InfoPath capabilities, making it
internet-ready with the ability to render the InfoPath form
in a web browser with AJAX-supported interactive functionality.

Rights Management Services
Rights management services enables companies to protect their sensitive data stored in documents of various types, by applying encryption and embedding the usage rights inside the document. RMS supports compliance solutions by providing businesses with rich auditing functionality and document expiration.

With the RMS SDK, it can be extended with development services to
support files like PDFs, AutoCAD files, and any proprietary format.
